Opalized Ammonite Cabochon (OL-4) 46x36x15mm
Distantly related to the nautilus, this ammonite specimen has fossilized to a lovely opal with flashes of fire. These creatures lived in the range from 250 million years ago until they became extinct with the dinosaurs. Not drilled, this would be a great specimen for wire wrapping or a glued bail. Beautiful enough even to be a specimen to enjoy with no further enhancement! 55x45x16mm
